The wine

Vintage 2016
Varieties Garnatxa blanca
Harvest Picked at night by hand in 15kg boxes in early September
Winemaking In stainless steel, slow fermentation at 15ºC with selected yeasts
Ageing Two months in stainless steel on the lees.
Notes Brilliant light straw colour with green hints; typically varietal nose of white fruit, aniseed and lactic notes. Full bodied in the mouth, salty persistent and well-balanced

The vineyards

Location Finca Mas Vernet, La Cova
Soils Panal: quaternary fossil dunes with a silty texture, calcareous with a high chalk content
Altitude 350-400m
Density Bush vines planted at 3200 plants/ha and trained vines with a density of 4200 plants/ha
Management Cover crops planted in alternate rows, vines ploughed mechanically, green pruning and crop thinning for qualitative and quantitative reasons.
Yield 4800-6000 kg/ha
